We held a design an ANZAC medal competition for the children. Homework was set, and the children had to come up with an idea for an ANZAC medal to commemorate the ANZAC one hundredth anniversary. The School Council judged the competition and an overall winner, Tiffiny Grimm, was chosen. Her design was etched onto a specially commissioned medal and then minted. Every child was given a commemorate medal and the ANZAC and Us full colour booklet as a keepsake. The children also received a small wooden cross from the Australian War Commission, some of these crosses we placed in our Peace Garden to remember the Diggers. We also gave some of these items to the wider community and our friends abroad.
